Detox & Circulation

Cold hands, heavy legs, puffiness, and a general sense of sluggishness often point to circulation that needs a helping hand. Our care plan uses warmth, water, and zone work to get blood and lymph moving — so your body can refresh and clear itself the way it is designed to.

Understanding circulation and the body's clearing systems

Every cell in your body depends on two-way traffic: blood delivering oxygen and nutrients in, and blood and lymph carrying waste products out. Long sedentary hours, stress, dehydration, and lack of exercise slow that traffic down. Blood pools in the lower legs, lymph — which has no pump of its own and relies on muscle movement — stagnates, and tissues become puffy and heavy. The "sluggish" feeling so many people describe is often exactly this: a supply-and-clearance system running below capacity.

How our therapies help

Our plan uses three time-honoured circulation boosters. Warm Packs bring gentle, penetrating heat that dilates blood vessels and draws fresh blood into tissues, easing heaviness and softening tension along the way. Immersion in Water adds the unique benefits of hydrotherapy — the pressure of water itself gently compresses the limbs and supports the return of blood and lymph toward the heart, while warmth relaxes the whole system. Zone Therapy completes the picture with focused pressure on the zones of the feet and hands connected to the organs of elimination, encouraging the liver, kidneys, and digestive system in their natural clearing work.

A refreshed baseline

Across a course of sessions, the aim is to reset your circulation's everyday baseline: warmer extremities, lighter legs, clearer-feeling mornings. Your therapist will pair the hands-on work with simple habits — hourly movement, steady hydration, evening leg elevation — so the improvements become how your body normally runs, not just how it feels after a session.

Questions we are asked

What does "detox" mean here, honestly?+

Your liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system already do the detoxifying — no therapy replaces them. What our sessions do is support the circulation those systems depend on, helping blood and lymph move freely so the body's own clearing work happens efficiently.

What does a session involve?+

A pleasant combination of warmth and touch: warm packs on key areas, zone therapy on the feet and hands, and water-based therapy where appropriate. Most clients describe sessions as the most relaxing hour of their week.

When will I feel a difference?+

Warmth and lightness in the limbs are common after the very first session. Over a six to eight session course, clients typically report warmer hands and feet, less evening heaviness, and better overall energy.

When should circulation problems see a doctor?+

Sudden swelling in one leg, chest pain, breathlessness, or skin that becomes painful, discoloured, or ulcerated all need prompt medical attention. Persistent swelling should also be checked before starting therapy.
